The Market Box Makes Thoughtful Gifting Easy (Giveaway!)

I am the worst gift giver. This is not an exaggeration–I know my limits when it comes to creative gifting. I would love to send friends and family gifts that elicit a “Wow!” or “How did she know?” when they open the box; however, panic combined with my inability to come up with a unique idea and a tendency to wait until the last minute win out, and I send an e-card.

The Market Box Collection sent me a gift basket recently to sample with my family. I knew it would be fabulous because of the Rao’s pasta and Rao’s salad dressing. (If you are not from New York and do not know Rao’s, please forget you have heard of it. You will never eat at the restaurant, so do not torture yourself. The sauces and pastas are as close as most of us will get.)

The Delmonico’s Restaurant steak sauce is also amazing, as is Patsy’s marinara sauce. This is such a cool and personal gift for anyone who loves New York City, loves its tradition of delicious Italian food, or simply likes to eat.

The Market Box arrives in a cardboard box that is both chic and simple. Along with the New York Italian Ristorante that we sampled, Tea for You; Wake Up and Smell the Coffee; It’s 5:00 Somewhere Martini Mixers; and Flavors of Napa Valley are among others packaged and ready to be delivered to your new best friend’s door. Prices range from $24.99 to $49.99; the products and ingredients are premium and will be appreciated much more than that singing e-card. I think we all know someone who would appreciate an unexpected gift of martini mixers. (My address is available upon request.)

This is now my go-to for hostess thank you gifts and holiday gifts to family members who seem to have everything. Visit the website for special promotions and savings, and enjoy being thanked for these thoughtful arrivals on all your gifting occasions.

{closed}I am pleased to be able to offer a Market Box to a reader. Please leave a comment below describing the person you’d most like to send one to (your boss? mother-in-law? Yourself?) and why. Giveaway ends Sunday, October 20th, at 11:59 pm ET. A winner will be chosen via random.org and notified after the giveaway’s end.

I was sent the product for purposes of this review. All opinions are, as always, my own.

  1. I would send to dear friends that are battling cancer as I type. The caregiver is exhausted and depressed.

The Market Box gift box would be the PERFECT gift for the Director of my children’s past pre-school, St. John’s Nursery School. Her birthday is coming up on October 31st (yes Halloween!), and what a great treat this would be for her. She has meant so much to us over the years and to the community. She is retiring at the end of this school year, and I would love to make this year her best ever!

I’d love to send one to one of the many generous friends (yourself included!) who have been helping my family through an incredibly difficult time. Although selfishly speaking, I’d also love to receive one of these boxes myself as they sound awesome!
